Blood Drive

Blood donations save lives! The life you save may be your own! The demand for blood is high. That means we have to get involved! You never know who will be in need of blood, or when the need may arise. It takes a special person who understands that making a blood donation is a life saving deed. Many in our own community need blood transfusions every day. Donating blood is safe, quick and easy to do. Donate blood today, people can’t live without it!
The St Vincent de Paul Society will be sponsoring this blood drive on Sunday, June 8. The drive will be held in McKinnon Hall between the hours of 9:00AM and 2:30PM. Appointments may be made in advance; volunteers will be in the narthex after masses on June 1st, the week before the drive.

Just Faith
Time: Monday, June 09 at 7:00 pm
Location: Parish House
Just Faith is an intensive 30 week program of reading, study and reflection on Catholic Social Teaching. In addition to weekly meetings, the commitment will include two weekend retreats (the first given here at the Church, with people going home at night; the second at a retreat house next May) and four immersion experiences with the poor. These may include, but not be limited to, shelter, soup kitchen, and other activities already undertaken by members of ISJ. Come and find out if JustFaith is for you - no obligation or commitment. Featuring Jeff Koons on the Roof
Friday, June 13, 2008, 6:00-8:15 p.m.
Please join us for cocktails on the Metropolitan Museum’s Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden, which offers spectacular views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline. This year’s installation features the sculpture of American artist Jeff Koons.
Cocktails, wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.
Access to the roof garden is free with Museum admission.
We will gather at the southernmost end of the roof garden.
